missional commissioning
A quote from Kyle Lake's book Understanding God's Will:
The reason the Church has been on such a steady decline is because of this attitude: "Well, I'm not going to China or the Middle East or Indea, so I guess I'll just be a teacher instead." Or, "Since I'm not going to Afghanistan, I guess I could go to work for Merrill Lynch." (Because, of course we know that money has nothing to do with the kingdom of God, right?--wink wink.)
How about this: What would the face of the Church look like if we began commissioning missional Christians to Andy Woods Elementary School? What would the face of the Church look like if we began commissioning missional Christians to Hillcrest Hospital? Why don't we commission missional Christians to China and India. . .and actors living in L.A. and New York? Film students working in Hollywood? Accountants to Phoenix, Dallas, Chicago. . .

I like it. I have always felt that. He put into words well.
Awesome. That is so true.
As God leads, I so follow. The key is to be willing to be used. And he will do just that.
Amen Sista!!
